Limited Edition vinyl LP, modified cover with metallic blue tears front and back, as well as vinyl, purple marbled with Japanese lettering in gold foil on the back, including download. None of which was previous Father John Misty albums so much attention and praise as in April last year released "pure comedy". At 01.06. follows with "God's favorite customer" now album number four on Bella Union. Produced by Tillman himself and recorded with Jonathan Rado, Dave Cerminara and Trevor Spencer the guest list includes names like the Haxan cloak, Natalie Mering (Weyes blood), long time collaborator and label-mate Jonathan Wilson and members of his live band. "God's favorite customer" is largely between summer 2016 and 2017 of winter in New York and examined the contradictory of mourning a broken heart reliving and manic phases of freedom. Tillmans songwriting is bittersweet and directly, without loss of wit and the well-known penchant for absurdity.
