Description

The Fabulous Fats Navarro Volume 2   Blue Note BLP 1532   Lexington Ave Label

Lady Bird 2 takes, Jahbero 2 takes, Symphonette 2 takes, Double Talk (alternate), Bouncing With Bud (alternate), Dance Of The Infidels (alternate), The Skunk (alternate),  Boperation

Fats Navarro (trumpet) with sidemen including  Sonny Rollins, Bud Powell, Wardell Gray, Allen Eager, Tadd Dameron, Howard McGhee, Roy Haynes, Kenny Clarke etc

The record is VG++.  It is bright and glossy and without spindle marks or scratches. There are a few very superficial marks which do not affect the grooves. The grooves do not show heavy wear or graying.  The record might have been played a few times and was well taken care of.  The label is deep groove both sides with the 767 Lexington Ave address.  Both sides have "RVG" and the Plastilyte "ear" in the dead wax.

The cover is VG to VG+.  The top seam is split 2 inches at the pocket.  There is moderate overall wear which is heavier at the corners and on the spine.  "1.98" is written in small pencil on the back cover.  Still some gloss on front and it and back cover look good.  The back cover has the "43 West 61st St., New York 23" address.

I grade visually using the Goldmine grading code whixch is M, M-, VG++ (or EX), VG+, VG, G, F, P. The highest grade I use is M-. I spot play any potential problem areas and try to grade conservatively. You will be satisfied and no hassles.
