Description

This is the original deep-groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Fats Navarro “The Fabulous, Volume 1” on the Lexington Avenue labels of Blue Note BLP 1531.  The flat-rim playing surface has a few small, inaudible handling marks but is otherwise in beautiful condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once or twice.  The Lexington Avenue frame cover is bright and clean throughout; the bottom seam has a 3 ¼” split at the spine and a 7” clear tape repair at the opening; the spine shows very light rubbing.

 

Personnel include Ernie Henry, Sonny Rollins, Bud Powell, Tommy Potter, and Roy Haynes.
