Description
From an estate sale, an original promotional private pressing of the LP "Like It Or Get Bent" from the Shreveport band Feather Da Gamba, known earlier in their career known as simply Feather. A collection of eclectic songs and instruments uniquely put together in the year 1972. Originally recorded in the natural acoustics of a chapel in a local church. Then later some tracks were added on in a separate room that was part of the church studio. The vinyl has some light surface scuffs and a few surface smudges. It looks like some of these may have come from the plant pressing rather than any play wear. The labels are in great shape, there are a couple of light spots on the label, but again it looks more from the plant pressing than time wear. This particular copy was given to a friend of the band's. There is a short note written in ink at the top of the cover that says "This is Sam Caldwell's band's first album 1972". (Sam was the band member listed as playing cello and timbales.) The original LP's had the cover and back cover glued on with Elmer's glue to a plain white album cover supplied by the orginal pressing plant. The front cover remains intact and in great shape with a few scuffs and some browning with age on this original. Unfortunately, the back cover which list the band members and the instruments they played on the album, came off over the years and was lost. I enclosed a picture to show the back as it is now, plain white with some ringwear and smudges to show for its years of existence. Winning bidder pays $4.00 shipping in United States.
