Description

Up for sale is an original 1972 US first pressing of the Afrobeat masterpiece Live! by Fela Ransome-Kuti & The Africa '70 with Ginger Baker, released on the Signpost label (SP 8401). This highly collectible copy features the rare, sought-after "AT/GP" dead wax etchings on both sides, confirming it was mastered directly from the tapes by legendary engineer George Piros, alongside "PR" markings indicating it was manufactured at the Presswell plant. Both the vinyl and the jacket are conservatively graded in Very Good (VG) condition; the vinyl retains a beautiful glossy luster with minor surface scuffs on Side B that do not deeply impact playback, while the sturdy cardboard jacket shows standard vintage ring wear and has the name "Bryce" neatly written in marker on the back cover. The original ATCO "Rock 5" illustrated inner advertising sleeve is included and fully intact with only minor edge splits.
