First Press Introducing the Beatles Vee Jay VJLP 1062
Cover: Mint-/VG++, No Seam Splits. only very very minor partial wear mainly at the bottom center by Paul McCartney's arm. And a tiny pinhead size white spot by George Harrisons head. /
The Vinyl: looks essentially Mint- , but I see spindle lines and very slight wear around the spindle hole, so I’ll call it VG++, In response to a buyer question I should have stated there are some tiny superficial hairlines, like sleeve-lines, but I had to get about 5" away to see them, from about 1.5 Ft away the vinyl looks Mint-. I could not see or feel any scratches. That is why the record is a VG++ grade.
The vinyl is very very thick.
The original inner sleeve with color photos is VG++, although it has partial seam splits on 3 sides.
This LP is the version containing "Ask Me Why" and "Please Please Me", with the song titles in two columns on the back cover, and with Vee-Jay's official back cover, the one with Introducing the Beatles (with No ellipsis) near the top . The label is the shiny Black with the rainbow Ring, with the name Vee Jay (with the music symbol in a red oval).
This is the label design VeeJay used in 1963 and early 1964.. This copy was most likely pressed in January of 1964.
It is absolutely one of the very first pressings of the so-called “second version”, so called because of the song changes.
A super nice copy of this historic recording. I have another in equal condition in my collection, so I can offer this to you.

Covers close to M, has maybe a small corner bend, maybe the very slightest of ring line caused by the record./// VG+ = Very Good Plus, record played a little more than an m- but well cared for. Vinyl has the vast majority of its original luster, may have sleeve lines, maybe a few very lite scuffs; maybe one or two small, very light surface scratches. But not all at the same time. Cover MAY have very minor ringwear, maybe a few other flaws, a minor corner bend or two, maybe a small partial seam split; /// VG = record has the flaws of a VG+, only more of them; may also have some small scratches that are felt with a fingernail. Vinyl is very playable and will play through, good luster. Probably some noise between tracks, maybe in quiet passages. Still, a reasonably well cared for record. /// VG- = proportionally lower than a VG.//// G-It is rare that I will even list a record in this condition; but it will be proportionally lower than a VG-.
