Flex Your Head TEST PRESSING Minor Threat Dischord RARE

DESCRIPTION: This is a very rare test pressing of the DC Hardcore compilation LP, "Flex Your Head", in mint condition. Dischord Records, (Dischord No. 7), Washington, DC, 1982. "Flex Your Head" was Dischord Records' first LP, after having put out six 7" EPs the previous year. The bands on this sampler included The Teen Idles, Untouchables, State of Alert (S.O.A.), Minor Threat, Government Issue, Youth Brigade, Red C, Void, Iron Cross, Artificial Peace, and Deadline. This test pressing was intended for radio stations and fanzines, but was never sent out. Record is in its original paper inner sleeve (which has definitely yellowed with age), with 8 1/2" x 11" xerox glued to the paper inner sleeve. Xerox is original, from 1982, and is copy of right half of back cover art for "Flex Your Head", showing track listing.  Record itself has Nashville Record Productions label on one side, with handwritten in-house catalog number.  The other side has a strange label that is mostly blank, but which has a fainst offset from some other record's label, so partially legible type is all reversed).
CONDITION / PROVENANCE:  Record itself is in absolutely mint condition, and has never, ever been played.  It has been kept in a plastic sleeve away from light and dust for the last 30 years.  The paper sleeve is a bit rumpled (about as much as any inner sleeve would be) has certainly yellowed considerably over the years.  The 8 1/2" x 11" xerox with all the band names has been stained by the original glue affixing it to the paper sleeve.  It also came unglued over the years, and I have carefully glued it back in its original position, using acid-free glue.  Now it looks exactly as it did before.  This record is unconditionally guaranteed to be original, from 1982.  It came from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described variously as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."  Please see my auction for lots of other punk/hardcore flyers and records as well as other jetsam I'll be putting up for sale......
PAYMENT: Ohio Residents add 6.75% Sales Tax to item total (not shipping).  Payment by PayPal only, says eBay.  Please pay within 3 days of auction end.
SHIPPING: This is a valuable record, and when shipping it I will pack it flat between multiple sheets of strong cardboard and put in an oversized box, and thus it will weigh more than eBay's one-size-fits-all postage pricing.  Within USA, Priority Mail will be calculated at auction's end.  I am also adding $ 2.70 in "handling fees" towards Insurance and Delivery Confirmation.
Outside of USA, reasonable Airmail rates apply. I'll be happy to give you a quote for postage to your country.  International buyers: I WILL SEND YOU AN E-MAIL INVOICE WITH YOUR TOTAL AND SHIPPING OPTIONS. PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU RECEIVE AN E-MAIL FROM ME.  If you might bid on some other records or flyers I have up for auction, just let me know - I'll be happy to combine shipping, and in so doing save you money, me effort, and the Earth trees... Thanks for looking!
REFUNDS:  I guarantee 100% the authenticity of everything I am selling, and strive to describe the condition of items as accurately as possible.  I will only accept returns if you have e-mailed me first and I have agreed to refund your money.
EXCITING SEARCH WORDS: Straight Edge
EXCITING SCREEDS FOR YOU TO READ:  ANTI-WAR: I think the U.S. should get completely out of Iraq and Afghanistan.  Our troops have done the best they can - many have paid with their lives - but we have screwed up both countries immeasurably and our staying for year after year only delays the vacuum our inevitable withdrawal will create.  One cannot "win" a war of occupation, ESPECIALLY in lands where one does not understand the local languages, culture, or religions.  Afghanistan has worn down invading armies far larger than ours - Alexander the Great struggled mightily there, the British were wiped out in the 1840s and fared no better in the 1870s, and the Soviets had their "Vietnam" there in the 1980s.  It's terrible what our policies have done in the Middle East, but our staying is making things worse.  We should declare "victory" and leave. Payment by PayPal only (eBay rules). Please pay within 3 days of auction end.  421 (GS 6.0.9 (421))
