Description
Florida FROG and TOAD Calls RARE LP Vinyl Album 12" Natural History Record
Product Description
VERY RARE LP... Florida Frog Calls: A guide to commonly heard frogs and toads by Richard A. Bradley. Associate in Natural Sciences FSM (Florida State Museum). This is a 12" record. 33 RPM. Produced in the Bioacoustics Archive in the Florida State Museum. Narration by Linda Becker. "This is a phono disc that will broaden your horizons. It will let you derive from Florida nights what birds bring you in the daytime. It will introduce you to the music that frogs make. Witness this recording of Rich Bradley's, in which the breeding calls of 20 kinds of Florida frogs are reproduced. With it available, all that anybody with a frog problem has to do is play the disc over a lot of times, and get to know the Florida frogs by their voices--and suddenly the frogs singing in the yard will seem no longer just a weird kind of sonic pollution, but an aesthetic and intellectual asset. And even to people without any frog problem at all, Rich's disc is sure to make Florida a more interesting place to live in." Quoted from the back of the LP by Dr. Archie Carr, Zoology Department, University of Florida. Condition: Good. Vinyl LP has a few very short mild rubs on it. Otherwise, there is only some loose dust on the record itself. (Sorry we normally sell books, and do not have access to an actual record player to test it for any skips.) We do offer a 30 day money back guarantee, in case you're not satisfied with the record. The paper the LP is protect by has some small closed tears, creases, and there are some tiny chips and tears along the edges. Paper is age-toned. The cover has some short closed tears, light soiling and creases. These are mostly along the edges. Top and bottom edge of the cover have been torn. Both tears are about 5-6" inches long. These are closed tears. There is a 3" ring/mild stain on the front cover from someone laying a glass or mug on top of it. Also, someone wrote in black marker on the front cover as well. See photos!
