FLOTSAM AND JETSAM "NO PLACE FOR DISGRACE" 12" VINYL LP
On the difficult to find Elektra first pressing of 1988. (catalogue number: 60-7771)
This is a discontinued album that I bought new around 1990 from a "cut out" end of line bin from HMV Records (if I remember rightly)
Sleeve is in almost "as new" condition, as I never removed the cellophane so as to keep the "Direct Metal Mastering" stick on label. Although please note that there is a shelf scuff mark to the lower opening edge where the cut out notch is.
For those not familiar with the end of line "cut out" L.P's, this was done in the early 90's when Vinyl was moving out and CD's were IN. Record manufacturers would cut out a small notch in the sleeve and heavily discount them to the record shops on the understanding that they could not be returned if unsold. This meant that great bargains could be had for us Vinyl lovers, and the record companies got to clear out their stockpiles.
Bizarrely, these cut-outs are now becoming highly sought after.
Therefore please note that this cover is "cut out" and not actually damaged! See photos to illustrate.
Inner sleeve is clean and colour-bright but again with the cutout to the lower right hand edge and also a small split as highlighted in photo 8.
Vinyl itself has only been played a handfull of times over the years and has always been cleaned and returned to it's cover afterwards. Sound quality is excellent, with no crackle, hiss or clicks whatsoever.
I guarantee you will not be dissapointed.

No Place for Disgrace is the second album by American thrash metal band Flotsam and Jetsam, released in 1988. This marked the band's first album release through a major label, Elektra Records, and was also their first album with the bass guitarist Troy Gregory, who had replaced Jason Newsted when the latter left the band in 1986 to join Metallica.[1] Despite not playing on the album, three songs on it were co-written by Newsted. No Place for Disgrace also received some notice for its cover of an Elton John song, "Saturday Night's Alright for Fighting",[2] and upon its release charted on Billboard at 143.[3] The band re-recorded the album in 2014 under the title No Place For Disgrace 2014.
