This album is nowadays impossible to find. It has been more than two years that I last saw one. Probably harder to find than even their first LP. This is definitely a fantastic, at the time overlooked album with some amazing tracks. "Bluebell Dance" is a track of intense quaint beauty!! Then there is "The Midnight Hanging of a Runaway Serf" strange and mystical. If you like obscure psych/folk and groups like e.g. Comus, you will like this.
This copy has belonged to a radiostation (RTL - Luxembourg) and has a faint stamp on one label and the inner gatefold sleeve (see pictures). It has been well-preserved and only has some marks on track 4 side 1 "To Julie". I have played this track a few times over and only a few faint ticks are audible but certainly not intrusive.
The whole LP plays through without any background noise. There are NO jumps, NO sticks etc. This is a lovely vinyl and I would not sell vinyls that would not play through, however rare they may be.

In all my years this is only the third time I have come across this absolute STUNNER. The rarity of this LP is not to be underestimated!!! Most of these will now be tucked away in major collections across the four corners of the Earth. Only 500 are rumoured to be about. Rare ... anyone?? Sensational sound quality, NO skips or jumps. NO clicks, this is really a stunning heavy vinyl with a beautiful deep gloss. This vinyl does not seem to have been played at all!!! A definite NM!!! Inspected under an intense lightsource and angled.
I have played this in FULL> The replay is ASTOUNDING!!! A couple of very wispy hairlines. I first played for a general listen and a second time for a more in-depth observation. I am very glad to say that there are not any jumps or skips. Unbelievably as it may sound there is not any background noise at all. I played this on my Technics turntable with a Linn cartridge and through my very revealing B&W three way speakers!!!
Sleeve: Gatefold. This sleeve is fully textured from the outside, front and back. There are NO creases. Some sellotape on the top and bottom edges. Not sure why, there was a misguided belief in the 70's that sleeves needed to be reinforced to make them last and protect the edges. I have been guilty of this myself ... Some rubbbing on the spine but 90% intact. Inside gatefold is great without any writing. Would rate EX if it weren't for the sellotaped edges.
This is a unique investment opportunity!!! Finding this album in any condition at all is nearly impossible!!!
