Description
The eponymous and only studio album released by Fotheringay in 1970; formed by Sandy Denny before disbanding for a solo career, the group name was taken from her composition of the same name (featured on Fairport Convention’s 2nd album) and inspired by the village (and castle) where Mary Queen of Scots had been imprisoned.
The record and sleeve are both graded VG+ due to wide-coverage shallow surface scratching, however there is only audio disruption on the final track via a few minor pops (See the closeup image as an example, most marks are dust/bright light reflection).
The record will be cleaned again on our dedicated machine before shipping.
The sleeve has corner marking, minor spine and ring-wear and a mark on the top face of the sleeve (see pictures).
This copy bears some provenance in that it comes direct from the private collection of an ex-managing director at Island, accumulated at the time of release over many years.
Customers are welcome to collect from our store in Tenterden as we are always keen to meet like-minded individuals, or we can safely package for postage via record-mailer - please request an invoice before making payment if you wish for tracked postage at an additional cost.
