Item Description

A super rarity. The Four Jets ‘Jet Black’ / ‘Driftin’ (Capitol 4270) an original US 45 promo from 1959. This is the first 45 issued by the Shadows in the USA. This coupling was issued in the UK under, their then name, the Drifters. However, in the USA at that time there was a extremely well known black vocal group with that name. So it got released under the name, the Four Jets.

Labels are Near Mint, although the Jet Black side has ‘Aug 25 1959’ ink stamped twice. The vinyl is VG+, surface marks but No scratches. Please see scan. Shipping is £1.25 to UK customers, £2 to European customers & £3 to customers from the Rest of the World.

I have added a scan of the B side following a request from a fellow ebayer. You may notice the black lettering appears slightly fuzzy. This is not the case on the actual label - the lettering is sharp & well defined - exactly like the A side.
