Description

An original 1st press of STRANGERS on the UK Reprise label form 1966. Matrix A1/B1. Correct labels for 1966 and pressed on super heavy vinyl. The vinyl comes housed in an original cover with flipbacks exposed. We also have the original green Reprise inner. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex+) Wowzer - this is one serious time traveller. Shiny unmarked surfaces - very impressive for the vintage. Just a couple of very fine marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Just to qualify this... I very rarely use Ex+ on a mid-sixties. And this title is very fussy low-key audio by and large...so it makes the grading achieved all the more impressive. Actual audio quality is absolutely top of the line. But what takes it to the next level is that there's literally no signs of use in the audio at all. Crystal clear throughout - not a whiff of background. Absolute stellar performer into the quietest moments. Maybe a crackle or two in a couple of spots per side. I have never witnessed better. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex) At least an Ex I would say... considering the vintage. Lovely clean and shiny front with jut one thumbnail crease. Lovely pointy corners. The rear is absolutely superb and has pretty much entirely avoided the ageing process. Highly impressive. Hardly any edge wear and firm openings. The spine is 100% perfect. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) A couple of creases. But hardly any ageing. And no splits!
