Description
Rarest Sinatra album out there. "A Man And His Music" Part II; The Frank Sinatra CBS Television Special. Mono pressing on Reprise 5004. 1966 Budweiser -- Only 1,000 ever made.
There were supposedly only 1,000 of these records ever made. There are very few records from major stars that have smaller pressings than that. In addition, this record wasn't available in stores, but was only sent out to Budweiser wholesalers, and highly placed managers and such who were out to promote the airing of the next Frank Sinatra / CBS TV special “A Man & His Music” which Budweiser sponsored.
This was the seventh time that Sinatra had a TV special, but it was the first that he'd done one for CBS. Taped June 5-6, 1966, at the NBC studios in Burbank, the special guest star was Nancy Sinatra, who came on and sang several numbers by herself, as you'll hear here. The back of the album cover gives all the details. It was to air on December 7th, 1966, at 9:10 E.S.T.
