Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention - "Absolutely Free" von 1967 war deren zweites Album, und das letzte, welches in den USA als Mono-LP erschien.("We're Only In It For The Money" erschien mono nur als Promo, und "Cruisin' With Ruben And The Jets" erschien nur in england mono, wenn auch als Fold-Down Mix)
Es handelt sich hier NICHT um ein Fold-Down, es ist ein eigenes Mono-Mix, mit vielen kleinen schönen Unterschieden zur Stereo-Version, und einem großen Unterschied - der Text am Ende von "Brown Shoes Don't Make It" ist SEHR versetzt zur Musik, so sehr, daß sich der Gedanke aufdrängt, es handele sich um einen Fehler beim Abmischen!
Insgesamt klingt der Mix knackiger und kompakter als die Stereo-Version, und ich verstehe nicht, wieso diese Version nie wiederveröffentlicht worden ist.

Die Hülle ist sehr gut erhalten, etwas Ringwear, leichte Abnutzungserscheinungen an den Kanten (s. Photos)
Die LP ist in der Original-Innenhülle und in tadellosem Zustand, keine Makel erkennbar.

"Absolutely Free" from 1967 by Frank Zappa and the Mothers was their second album, and the last album to be released as a mono version in the US.(The mono "We're Only In It For The Money" was only released as a promo, and "Cruisin' With Ruben And The Jets" was only available in mono in the UK, albeit a fold-down mix)
This here is NOT a fold-down, it is a dedicated mono mix, with lots of beautiful little differences to the well-known Stereo mix, and one VERY noticeable difference - the vocal in the end of "Brown Shoes Don't Make It" it so much out of sync it makes you wonder whether this was by mistake!
Overall, the mix sounds much more punchy and compact compared to the stereo, and I can't see why it has never been reissued.

Sleeve is in great condition - a little ringwear, some slight wear around the edges (see photos)
The LP comes in original innersleeve and is in pristine condition, no scratches or marks.
