Description
This is a vinyl copy of, well, I'm not really sure what we have here. The A4 insert states this is Reel No 1 of 'The History and Collected Improvisations of The Mothers of Invention', which was a ten LP box set of course. It also states this is Melbourne Festival Hall June 29 1973. On a casual search, I can't seem to find a solo vinyl LP release of that title, so this may be from a bix set that a dealer split, not sure. The details on the A4 sheet are handwritten, and certainly not by me!.. The matrix number on the vinyl is ZX 3651A / ZX 3651B.
Further information to the above - one of my recent buyers adds the following:
"This is Record 1 of the 10-LP box called History and Collected Improvisations of Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention. Also known as Ultra Modern Stringbean."
So there you have it, thanks buyer!
The sleeve is plain white and generic. A lttle wear but has been in a protective plastic cover since bought. The vinyl has some light marks both sides.
I bought this about 25 years ago at a record fair, it has been in record cases ever since and I probably only ever played it two or three times.
Any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch.
