THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION
We're Only In It For The Money
(UK Verve, SVLP 9199, 1967)
RARE FIRST STEREO PRESS IN LOVELY SHAPE!!
The very first UK Verve/EMI Zappa pressings are fast becoming extinct - the stereo is much harder to find than the mono as well!! From 1968, the stereos are more common but in 1967 mono was still the norm here in the UK!! The Verve albums were later repressed in 1971-3 in the UK when Polydor took over Verve records - those turn up a lot more often than these - when these were first issued in the UK they sold very little and very hard to come across these days!!
The UK pressing also has the 'censored' version - as opposed to Zappa's original edit!!
VERY HARD TO FIND LIKE THIS!! DON'T MISS OUT!!
Disc is EX : clean disc and labels, few light superficial marks which do not affect play, sounds great!!
Laminated gatefold sleeve is VG++ : small edge creases, light corner wear, light disc imprint, overall clean and solid with no splits or tears!!
PLEASE NOTE THE UK PRESSINGS DID NOT COME WITH THE CUT-OUT INSERT!!
RUN-OUTS :
SIDE 1 : V6 5045 A-1 stamped
SIDE 2 : V6 5045 B-1 stamped
