Description

This is the original UK issue with the RSLP-2028 catalogue numbers (changed in 1971 to the 'K' numbers of the Kinney Group), with the earliest A-2 B-2 matrices & A-9 A-7 stampers of the first presses!
  The tenth album by by Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention recorded at various studios and live in London & Birmingham on tours between 1967 and 1969 and issued in August 1970. After his accident in London and the break up of the Mothers of Invention in 1969, Zappa released Burnt Weeny Sandwich in Febuary and WRMF in August. It features a mix of jazz, improvisation and rock tracks recorded at various times over the previous three years and featuring the improvisational/jazz/avant-garde side of Zappa during the late 1960's. The cover is a painting by Neon Park, commissioned by Zappa and a pastiche of 1950's magazine advertising.
  The Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some very light corner/edge wear and some very light foxing/rubbing on the rear cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the plain companyinner is intact & in EX condition.   The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only one or two faint hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, undamaged, clean & bright with evidence of one or two faint spindle markings on either side.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud crackle or hiss and no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief background noise during the run in grooves.
Overall, just a really great, loud and clear listen.
  The matrix nos. are; RSLP-2028, A-2 mother stamper A-9, B-2 mother stamper A-7. This is one of the early 1st pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
