According to some stories, Duam was something of a commotion prior to the release of this record. The powers that were at the time (hardkiss, exist dance, and several others) were trying to figure out who should release the freaky chakra record.
Once this record did see the light of day, we kinda know the rest of the story. Amazing record, completely amazing, and a staple in the sets of many many a dj. One of the cornerstone records that summed up the emerging west coast vibe to a T. We will rock you with the freaked out trippy funk.
Open wide and freak out.

The Blind Dive is reason enough that this is a classic, but my sets
included 'Trancendental Funk Bump' more often than it. From the 'Fat Albert theme' sample to the spiraling bass breakdown. Some serious ass shaking funk bump. "Free your mind & your ass will follow..."

A wonderful and classic West Coast * underground dance EP. IMO - a must have. Luckily, I bought 1 and played it to death and also bought a backup a few years into knowing how important this record is. Big ups to Daum Bentley - friend and amazing producer. Cheers, brother!
