Description
This is an interesting release-year repress copy (essentially 2nd press) of the absolute classic debut LP ‘Tons Of Sobs’ by Free!
Discogs has this as a mid-late 1969 repressing as there is no date, and has the large ‘Made In England’ text; drummer Simon Kirke’s name is misspelt (Kirk)
It's been through a bath-cleaner and I’ve played through A1 with some (expected) intro crackle and through the quieter sections, but there are no obvious marks on the disc aside from sleeve-removal scuffs and non-feelable hairlines; a solid VG+/EX copy. The sleeve and label have a previous owner’s name written on them, but the sleeve is clean aside from edge-rub from storage.

This item is being sold on behalf of a client, whom has been collecting some 50 years. I have years experience with the online sale and handling of records and therefore aim to ensure accuracy in grading – I visually grade unless I can feel a mark which warrants further play-testing.
Most of the items I sell are on behalf of clients, so while some discs have very minor marks, they could have groove build-up due to not having been out in years. I hand-clean with Isopropyl solution and a microfibre (and then test where needed), but some resulting minor background crackle is not unusual and normally remedied with a further session on a professional-grade cleaning machine!
Starting-prices have been chosen competitively given Discogs and Popsike, and items will be safely packaged for postage; with discs firstly decanted into new separate inners, that inner and the sleeve then being placed in a new plastic outer sleeve and then shipped using professional grade record-mailers.
1) I reserve the right to request tracked and insured postage only on high-value items.
2) Static build-up is normal in transit given the prevalence of poly-sleeves. This record has been bath-cleaned, but lease clean the record before complaining about static effects on the disc on first playing.
3) Due to ongoing customs-delay issues with some countries, this is a UK only sale.
