Description
Rare pink Island 1st pressing copy of Free's brilliant 2nd album, dating from 1969. This is not in the best condition but plays very well and will do fine until that NM copy comes along. The record is in much better condition than the cover. Matrices are complicated: P#4307-1 1A/P#4308-1 1B. The words 'Bell Sound' are also etched on the dead wax on both sides.
Gatefold sleeve Good+/VG- Well-used and rather grubby on the reverse in particular. There is also an old sticker on the reverse. All edges and corners are worn. The bottom seam on the rear has been repaired with Scotch 'magic' tape. On the plus side the inner gatefold is fine!
Labels – Ex- Very clean with plenty of spindlewear, particularly on Side 1.
Inner sleeve – VG Original Island blue polylined bag.
Record – Visually VG+ Light hairlines and sleeve removal marks seen on both sides, nothing deep or serious. Playgrade is perhaps VG/VG+, reasonably good audio with patches of crackle, particularly towards the end of Side 1.
I grade all records strictly using the 'Record Collector' guide.
