Description

Fruit Tree was originally issued by Island Records in 1979 as a 3-LP box set.  This 4-LP version was released by Hannibal Records in 1986 and featured the first-ever release of the 'Time Of No Reply' album. 

The box set contains a 16-page, LP-size, booklet.  It contains photographs of Nick Drake, an article and all of the lyrics to each of the records: Five Leaves Left; Bryter Layter; Pink Moon; and Time Of No Reply.  Of the original LP releases only Pink Moon contained all of the lyrics.  Bryter Layter had no lyrics; Five Leaves Left, only a few.

The LPs are packaged in 'inner sleeves' with reproductions of the original albums' artwork (see pictures attached).  The contents of the box are in immaculate condition - three of the LPs are unplayed.  The fourth, Time Of No Reply, is in excellent condition.  The exterior of the box is not in such fine condition - it is a bit speckled but basically sound (see bottom picture).

I have no idea how many box sets were ever sold but it is unlikely to be a huge number.
