Description
Fuchsia - Fuchsia - Pegasus PEG8 - Excellent+ Condition LP
This auction is for an original UK copy of the self-titled first and only album by progressive folk group Fuchsia, released on the short lived Pegasus record label in 1971 and now almost impossible to find.
Many rare and obscure records from this era are often hyped up to be great undiscovered classics and then turn out to be major disappointments. As a collector for over 30 years, in my opinion this LP is actually one of the few which actually live up to the hype.

Grading
Vinyl is in Excellent+ condition and has hardly been played. On first sight the vinyl looks to be Near Mint but under strong light there are some very slight visible scuff marks where the vinyl has been removed from the inner sleeve. These in no way affect the audio quality of this LP.
Audio is superb with no surface noise and no skips, jumps, pops or scratches. There are some very quiet passages on this LP all of which can be heard perfectly.
Catalogue Nos. - This is a stereo LP released on the short lived Pegasus Record Label with the catalogue number PEG8.
Matrices - The Matrix in the run out groove on Side One of the LP is PEG 8 A - 1U. The Matrix in the run out groove on Side Two of the LP is PEG 8 B - 1U.
Labels are both in absolute Mint condition with no spindle wear, no tears and no writing. The label on Side One of the LP is the Pegasus Records picture label. The label on Side Two contains the LP track listing.
Front Cover contains an illustration by artist Anne Marie Anderson and is the original textured sleeve 'Printed and made by the E. J. Day Group, London and Bedford'. There are some signs of ringwear, and general wear along the top and bottom edges of the sleeve through poor storage. This in no way detracts from the overall quality of this LP. There is no writing, tears or seam splitting.
Back Cover also shows signs of ringwear through storage. Not unusual for LPs of this age. Again there are no rips, tears or seam splitting.
Spine is fully intact with no splitting but shows signs of wear though poor storage.
Packaging
The vinyl will be packaged carefully in a Wrapro professional record mailer and sent by signed for recorded delivery.
