Description
Very early press, rare with picture sleeves on each record of this 2 lp set.
The original press of this legendary recording (Torch, Accord or VSG factories) has 1956 quality standard (GOST). In 1961 this standards has changed, but the record still has GOST56 despite it issued first in 1962 . For sale is the borderline pressing that still has Accord label (not Melodiya) but already with GOST61 (actually sound the same). Honestly the version like this I've never seen before, its always with 56 or Melodiya with 61 (or later presses certainly). It comes with separate original picture sleeves - very rare with Accord logo. Yes you can say what about Beethoven portrait version...which is on later 60s Melodiya pressings...but there are always year stamped on rear (I know only one press in 1964). But here year isn't mentioned anywhere.
