Anthrax

A superb copy of The Gang of Four's superb debut 1979 album.

Second issue - 1979. The first one, earlier in the same year,

had a picture on the B side label.

There were a few similar re-presses in the mid 80s,

but, by the matrix etchings, mine appears to be an original 1979 pressing,

although it is difficult to be 100% on this, as the re-presses were almost identical.

Unfortunately, it is missing the original printed inner sleeve. 

The condition of the playing surfaces is superb,

both sides are beautifully glossy, dust and fingerprint free.

There are only a very small number of incredibly fine hairlines that can be seen in extremely hard light.

Aside from these, the vinyl is in exceptional condition.

There is absolutely nothing that has any effect on play or sound quality in the slightest,

which is superb.

The outer sleeve is in excellent condition.

There are a few small creases down the spine edge and corresponding ones to the spine itself.

Corners have very little wear indeed. There are no seam splits, or even the beginnings of any.

Before photographing, each record was cleaned using a Knosti disco-antistat record cleaner using a solution

of 1:8 parts Isopropyl Alcohol to De-ionised water, with a couple of drops of a surfactant.

If necessary, records were given a hands on clean, as bellow, followed by a second run through the Knosti.

1 - Removal of any surface dust with a light brushing over with a carbon fibre and velvet disc cleaning pad

2 - Deep cleaning with large (Big Fudge) velvet pad and cleaning solution

3 - A final brushing with a Pro-Ject carbon fibre record brush.

I am a professional photographer by trade, and have gone to great lengths to light and photograph covers, inner sleeves

and the vinyl themselves in such a way as to show, as accurately as possible, the actual condition of all.

Rest assured that what you see is exactly what will be despatched to you if you are the successful winner of each listing.

I personally wouldn't bid on a pre-owned record without the option to return it if I felt that the seller hadn't been

totally truthful and transparent in their description of it, or that on receipt it didn't live up to my expectations. 

And I do not expect you to do so either. 

Unless otherwise stated every record was purchased by myself from new and only ever played

by myself on my own deck and with as expensive a cartridge as I could afford at the time.

And finally, because Mr or Mrs  Poasty may not handle your record with the same care and reverence that you or I would,

I will dispatch in a specialised corrugated cardboard record mailing outer, and if I feel even more protection is required

I will also include two extra sheets of 3mm corrugated cardboard for added safety and protection.
