Up for auction/sale is a Holy Grail of 90s East Coast Golden Era Hip-Hop: an original 1992 US first pressing of Gang Starr's seminal masterpiece Daily Operation, still locked in its original factory shrink wrap.
Produced during DJ Premier and Guru’s absolute golden age at D&D Studios, this album established the definitive boom-bap aesthetic. Finding an authentic 1992 US pressing—let alone a factory-sealed copy with the original red hype sticker intact—is becoming nearly impossible as these early 90s Chrysalis/Payday pressings continue to be absorbed into permanent collections.

Promo Hole Punch: Features a single clean distributor hole punch at the top-right corner over the "DAILY OPERATION" title, passing through both the shrink and jacket (a standard mark for promotional/retail distribution in 1992).

Shrink & Jacket: Shrink is tight with clean seams; no major tears or splitting. Minor, natural corner softening/browning visible at the exposed tips, typical for a 34-year-old sealed record. Corner geometry remains square and flat.

Secure Handling: Your record will be shipped in a dedicated, heavy-duty cardboard mailer (LP or 45 specific) with extra cardboard stiffeners to prevent bending or crushing.

Pro-Tip Protection: To prevent seam splits during transit, all opened records are shipped with the vinyl removed from the jacket (housed in its inner sleeve) and placed behind the jacket within a 4mil clear poly outer sleeve. (Note: For factory-sealed items, the LP remains sealed inside unless explicitly requested by the buyer prior to shipping).
