Description

This is the extremely rare vinyl B.B.C. College Concert #16 Radio Show sent to radio stations in the USA for broadcast the week of January 9, 1983.

The featured artist for this week was GARY NUMAN.

This was produced and distributed to radio stations ONLY FOR BROADCAST that week by London Wavelength from their offices in New York.

This copy came from a radio station that never broadcast it because their format in 1983 was more heavy rock oriented and they thought that Gary Numan would "alienate" the listeners who wanted to hear Led Zeppelin and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The condition of the vinyl is superb!  It comes in it's original plain white cardboard record sleeve with the plastic lined inner sleeve and the pink printed cue sheet.
The cardboard sleeve shows some wear from age and the cue sheet has a piece missing from the lower right corner.  That is the way it was sent to the radio station.  It was given to me by a friend who worked as the music director of the station and it has languished, unplayed, in my personal collection for over 35 years.

It's an incredibly rare record and would be a fantastic addition to any serious collection!
