GENE AMMONS ALL STARS jazz LP “Jammin’ With Gene” PRESTIGE W. 50th
Artist: GENE AMMONS
Title: “Jammin’ With Gene”
Label: PRESTIGE. Mono pressing on medium thick vinyl with deep groove. RVG is etched in the trailoff area on both sides. Catalog number is PRLP 7060.
Year: 1956
Personnel: Gene Ammons – tenor sax; Art Farmer and Donald Byrd – trumpets; Jackie McLean – alto sax; Mal Waldron – piano; Doug Watkins – bass; Arthur Taylor – drums.
Condition: (REVISED)
DISC: Vinyl is nice VG+ with full original gloss. Has been played a small number of times and handled with care. There are several faint marks that produce very soft tics in a couple places, but no loud clicks or pops. Plays very enjoyably with superb fidelity. Labels are clean. A very nice playing copy.
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG+ to VG++. Front is beginning to show a bit of ring wear, and there is a split at upper right opening (less than 2 inches). Reverse has darkened slightly with age. No writing, stickers, cutout indications, or other flaws. Overall a very nice jacket to accompany the lovely disc.
