I use the RARE RECORD COLLECTOR GUIDE grading standards: (NM, EX, VG, G)

GENE AMMONS – Boss Tenor, 1st. US 1960 mono Rudy van Gelder (RVG) pressing Vinyl LP, Bergenfield PRESTIGE PRLP 7180, non-laminated thick US cover.

The record grades: (EX-/EX). The very thick vintage LP shows clean gloss, looks played (moderate spindle traces on the labels) and shows hairlines and minor paper scuffs under bright light. Beautifully recorded and engineered original RVG mono pressing with a strong, deep, rich and vibrant sound and a powerful dynamic cut. The record plays clean with some slight occasional background noise in places, minor occasional ticks. The thick US Cover grade (VG-) and shows water damage, wear, ring wear, edge wear, spine wear, tears (please see the Photos).

Die sehr dicke LP wurde öfter abgespielt (mehrere sichtbare Spuren auf den Labels). Unter hellem licht sind etwas haarfeine Kratzer sowie minimale Paper Scuffs sichtbar. Die LP spielt sehr dynamisch mit leichten gelegentlichen Hintergrundgeräuschen, paar minimale Ticks. Das dicke US Cover hat Wasserschaden, Gebrauchsspuren, Ring Wear, Abnutzungen auf Kanten, Ecken und Spine, Abrisse (siehe bitte die Fotos).
