Description

Up for auction is a very rare, clean copy of the Original Soundtrack Recording to the movie "Blacula", music composed and conducted by Gene Page, released on RCA Records (LSP-4806) in 1972.  This copy is an original first pressing, not a cheap re-issue like most of them for sale on eBay.
The cover is in nice shape.  Seams are tight and intact, no splits.  Corners are sharp with only a small amount of rubbing.  Shows only a small amount of ring wear--unusual for this album, which is very prone to wear because of the flat black matte finish.  Back cover is really nice with only a hint of rubbing, no significant ring wear.  Does have an inventory number written in black marker in upper left, though it's hard to see because of the black background of the cover.  Factory saw mark on lower edge.  I would grade the cover EX+ (Excellent Plus).
The vinyl is in beautiful shape, super clean.  No scratches, scuffs or marks.  No marks around spindle holes.  Looks virtually un-played.  Nice original high gloss shine.  Very well preserved.  I would grade the vinyl Near Mint (NM).   Overall, a much-sought after ultra rare soundtrack to this cult classic.  Very hard to come by, especially in this condition.
