GENE VINCENT - Bluejean Bop - Capitol EAP1-764 Part 1 mono - issued in 1957This extremely Rare Ep is Part 1 of a 3 part series and was only released in mono. It is a DJ Promotional Record as shown on the white labels. Please see the detailed condition description below.
Side 1 - Blue Jean Bop, Jezebel
Side 2 - Jumps Giggles and Shouts, Ain't She Sweet
The vinyl is very glossy with no visible groove wear and NM fidelity. There are very mi-nute fine hairline surface scratches on side 2 that are so small that they can only be seen when the record is tilted a certain way in the light. There are very light surface scuffs on the lead-in deadwax on both sides. The white labels are NM- with very light turntable ring stain, and no damage or writing. The cardbord picture sleeve is VG+/VG+ with light ring wear on both sides, a 2" split on the top edge opening and a 4" split on the bottom edge opening. The spine is fully intact with light wear on the corners and no writing anywhere. The following is a detail of the audible condition:
Side 1
Track 1 = NM- There are 3 very mi-nute(almost inaudible) tic's at the very start, the rest plays clean. the deadwax between track 1 & 2 is also clean.
Track 2 = NM There is one very light tic in the middle of the track, but I can't see what causes it because there is no scratch or other surface defect.
Side 2
Track 1 = NM- There is very light surface on the lead-in deadwax and 3 very mi-nute(almost inaudible) tic's on the track.
Track 2 = NM- There are 2 very light tic's on the deadwax between track 1 & 2 and 3 very mi-nute tic's on the track.
Note: The white spot on the vinyl in the picture is glare.
The 2005 Goldmine price guide values a NM copy at $150 and a VG+ copy at $75, you can decide what a copy in this condition is worth to you.
