Description

This is the 1956 Australian pressing of this of this classic rocker. Both sides are great, both featuring fantastic guitar solos from Blue Caps' lead guitarist Cliff Gallop. This is the record that started Gene Vincent's career and was the first of many that he made for Capitol in the mid to late fifties. The vinyl on both sides is clean and shiny, there are numerous fine scuffs and hair line scratches but no deep scratches, skips or jumps. Both sides play loud and clear, there is some low level surface noise on the run in tracks which is for the most part masked when the music starts. It is noticeable for a couple of spins at the beginning of "Woman Love" but again is soon masked when the full band kicks in. The labels have some faint writing on both sides, which I didn't notice until I enlarged the photos, and there are some small stains on side two, but there are no stickers or bold writing. It is a loud pressing and I have graded it VG. The cover is an original company sleeve, no tears ,writing or stickers just some minor creasing I have graded this VG. This record would sound fantastic if played in a jukebox.
