Description
This is an auction for a very rare EP, Gene Vincent, Hot Rod Gang.
This was released by Capitol records in 1958 and has catalogue number EAP 1 985.
Condition: The sleeve comes in nice condition. With perhaps a touch of discolouring on the rear, a little hard to tell as the rear is cream colour, also with a little creasing to the rear and buffing to the very corners and mouth. Edges fine, no tears or edge splits, flipback edges fine, lamination fine. Please check the pictures on supersize for clarification. This sleeve is graded at a conservative VG+ ( with only a few minor faults).
Both labels are clean and near new, Under closer examination some spider spindle trails can be seen, there is also a touch of darkening to the centre hole. The centre hole is fine and shows little sign of wear. Again please check the pictures.
The vinyl retains its near new shine, under closer examination a few feather scratches can be seen, there are also a couple of finger marks that will clean.
This record has been play tested.
I am pleased to report this plays amazingly well. A touch of very light feckling can be heard in a couple of places only. All four records play fine through out with no pops or ticking or any kind of surface noise caused through scratches. The one or two quiet feckling sounds may be caused by dust or simply through wear.
This record is given a grading of VG+, I have down graded this because it has been well played despite there being very little lessening in sound quality.
