GENESIS FROM GENESIS TO REVELATION SKL 4990 "UNBOXED" MEGA RARE
THIS IS A MEGA RARE FIRST ALBUM BY GENESIS released on DECCA (cata No SKL 4990) in 1969.
This is the MEGA RARE AUTHENTIC FIRST ISSUE "UNBOXED" LABEL of which there were very few issued.
This is the STEREO PRESSING MATRIX Nos ZAL 8839 P-1W and ZAL 8840 P -2W.
The record labels bear the very rarely seen "UNBOXED" DECCA logo and the WIDE BANNED "FFSS" SILVER BAND .
Both labels are really clean SEE PHOTOS 5 and 6 .
THE "HIGH VALUE " OF THIS ALBUM IS "ALL" BASED on the "UNBOXED " LABEL
There are MANY MANY later issues with the BOXED label but hardly any UNBOXED.
A copy of the UNBOXED MONO label recently sold for well over £2000.
The album cover has PLAIN BLACK LAMINATED FRONT with GOLD LETTERING see PHOTOS 1 and 4 .
THE REAR OF THE COVER IS UNLAMINATED AND HAS THE "ROUND PEEPHOLE" see photos 2 and 3 showing the BLUE stereo of the inner sleeve SEE PHOTO 7 to see SUPERB condition of inner sleeve
I TAKE AS MANY PHOTOS AS POSSIBLE TO TRY AND SHOW THE QUALITY OF WHAT YOU ARE BUYING
The cover is in VG PLUS condition with just minor wear on corners and some creasing on the front PLEASE SEE PHOTOS
The rear of the cover has an obvious RING mark see photo 2. There is NO inner lyric sheet .
The Vinyl retains its ORIGINAL BLACK SHINEY FINISH
I have graded the vinyl as SUPERB EXCELLENT PLUS condition with just the" VERY" faintest of hairline mark visible under light .
It does however have a " Partially " warped edge see photo 8 .This does not effect 95% of the SUPERB sound quality of this album .
It does affect the first 10 rotations of side 1 .This does mean that you need to place the stylus head about half a cm in from the edge.
THE SOUND QUALITY is TRUELY "SUPERB" .There is virtual silence between the tracks. The exception to this are 3 small clicks halfway through side 2 between two of the tracks and the first 10 rotations of side 1 as mentioned above .
THIS ALBUM IS REALLY WORTH SERIOUS CONSIDERATION DUE TO THE RAREITY OF THE LABEL & despite the slight warped edge.
