FIRST 180GRAM VINYL-REISSUE FROM CLASSIC RECORDS !! .....................
Another stroke of genius, for which the term "pop music" hardly still seems to fit ... "The Battle Of Epping Forest" remains one of the band's greatest acts, which brought the still young genre "Art Rock" to a level that seems hardly possible to achieve again. Sound again in impeccable Classic Records quality, also with the original text sheet! ...................................................
FOR YOUR INDIVIDUAL 1st edition SELECTIONs - INDIVIDUAL TITLE INFORMATION OR INDIVIDUAL PURCHASE JUST HIT THIS STORES TAB >. & TYPE IN 1STEDITION OR FOR OTHER ARTISTS CONCERT LP'S USE CODE LIVELP INTO THE SEARCH FIELD WITHIN OUR STORES SECTION AS YOUR PERSONAL CODE AND ALL INDIVIDUAL  TITLES + INFORMATION WILL APPEAR
Classic Records has proven to be an Audiophile Company second to none in the new millennium. But Classic Records, unlike other top Audiophile Companies, does not place Limited Edition numbers on their LP jackets.
2 years ago, Classic Records changed their vinyl weight from 180 gram to 200 gram. Mymusicfix knows no expert that has been able to decipher a true difference in quality with this 20 gram weight increase.
What this change did for Collectors of the finest vinyl pressings was establish a First Edition element to Classic Records Audiophile pressings. All Classic Records 180 Gram pressings are now Out of Print and Very Limited Edition Collector's First Edition Pressings.
In the long term, First Editions will be what Collectors seek. When you look at Classic Records First Edition 180 Gram pressings. It could be one of the most collectible pressings ever in this 180 Gram First Edition.
For hundreds of additional Rare, Out of Print, Factory-Sealed Audiophile Recordings, visit my E-Bay Store by hitting the “STORES” TAB on this titles’ Home Page.

 Review:
With "Foxtrot" Genesis chart entry (# 12), "Selling England ..." was a real hit album. The band did not have to bend for it, the music was on the contrary always strange: The song cycle skillfully married the established on "Foxtrot" pressure with the eccentricity of the early albums; There are also plenty of old English folk tracks on the work. With "The Battle Of Epping Forest", the band once again brought the still young genre Art Rock to a level that seems unlikely ever to be achieved again. Like Lewis Carroll's Alice in the Kingdom of Tolkien ...

GENESIS - SELLING ENGLAND By The POUND * CLASSIC RECORDS 200 GRAM PRESS * NM 9/10 Genesis proved that they could rock on Foxtrot but on its follow-up Selling England by the Pound they didn't follow this route, they returned to the English eccentricity of their first records, which wasn't so much a retreat as a consolidation of powers. For even if this eight-track album has no one song that hits as hard as "Watcher of the Skies," Genesis hasn't sacrificed the newfound immediacy of Foxtrot: they've married it to their eccentricity, finding ways to infuse it into the delicate whimsy that's been their calling card since the beginning. This, combined with many overt literary allusions -- the Tolkeinisms of the title of "The Battle of Epping Forest" only being the most apparent -- gives this album a storybook quality. It plays as a collection of short stories, fables, and fairy tales, and it is also a rock record, which naturally makes it quite extraordinary as a collection, but also as a set of individual songs. Genesis has never been as direct as they've been on the fanciful yet hook-driven "I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)" -- apart from the fluttering flutes in the fade-out, it could easily be mistaken for a glam single -- or as achingly fragile as on "More Fool Me," sung by Phil Collins. It's this delicate balance and how the album showcases the band's narrative force on a small scale as well as large that makes this their arguable high-water mark. ..........................

FIRST 180GRAM VINYL-REISSUE FROM CLASSIC RECORDS IN 1996  !!.....................
