Genesis – The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway (2 x 12” LPs)Genesis are a English rock band formed in 1967. They began as a 1960s pop band playing moody, simple keyboard-driven melodies. During the 1970s, they evolved into a progressive rock band, incorporating complex song structures and elaborate instrumentation, while their concerts became theatrical experiences with innovative stage design, pyrotechnics, elaborate costumes and onstage stories. This second phase was characterised by lengthy performances such as the 23 minute “Supper’s Ready”.

Side Four: The Colony Of Slippermen (Arrival/A Visit To The Doktor/Raven); Ravine; The Light Dies Down On Broadway; Riding The Scree; In The Rapids; It.
The album is on Charisma Records, CGS 101. Matrix side one: CG 1 A -2U 1 R R (stamped) PORKY x JOHNNIE (written). Matrix side two: CG 1 B -2U 1 G D (stamped) PECKO (written). Matrix side three: CG 2 A -2U 2 O H (stamped) PECKO (written). Matrix side four: CG 2 B -2U 1 P (stamped) PORKY (written).
Released in 1974. UK pressing. Stereo.

Condition: (as Record Collector's grading system)
Vinyl side 1: excellent (has the odd light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 2: excellent (has the odd very light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 3: excellent (has the odd light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Vinyl side 4: excellent (has the odd very light superficial mark that does not affect the audio in any way, plays great with no jumps, sticks or clicks and minimal crackle).
Cover (unlaminated, gatefold): excellent (corner bash top right, light spine wear, the odd grubby mark mainly where the record outline is).
Comes with the original inner sleeves in excellent condition - a few edge creases!
Also comes with the original red “Gold Chase” insert in very good condition - the entry form has been filled in!
I have tried to give my honest opinion as to the condition. I will give a complete refund to the buyer if they are not happy with the record on its return.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM:
MINT: I very rarely use the mint grade. Only records that are still sealed or records that even under the strongest of lights are completely unmarked. Also covers that are unmarked/uncreased in any way and still look brand new.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
