GENESIS Trespass Rare UK LP Pink Scroll 1st Pressing, Charisma CAS 1020. 1970.

Up for sale here is a rare and complete first pressing of Genesis Trespass, on the Charisma Pink Scroll label with lyric inner sleeve. 
 
Grading: -
 
Outer Sleeve: VG+
 
The textured gatefold sleeve is in VG+ condition.  This copy has no worrying faults and is generally in nice condition. There is a small amount of sticker residue  on the front cover in the top right corner and some slight discolouration in the top left corner and also to a section along the bottom edge. The inside of the gatefold has some light brown spotting in the white areas (see photos). The spine and edges display just very minor signs of wear and there are no large or unsightly creases to the sleeve Overall this is a nice example and above the average condition that this cover is often found in.  
 
Vinyl:    Visual : EX-   Audio: EX
 
The Vinyl is in EX- condition. There is a light to moderate number of light or feint hairlines but in all cases they are light and not in any way deep. This is a nice copy which is well above the average condition found for this LP and it has no worrying visible marks.
 
I have  also play tested this LP and I graded the audio as EX. Some background noise can be heard in the quieter sections but overall it plays very clearly with a deep vibrant sound which you would expect from a true 1st press example.

Side 2: CAS 1020 B-2U 1   O
 
Single letter stampers from the 9th and 5th stamper accordingly. Very, very early copy!!
 
Labels: EX
 
The Labels are in EX condition – Clean. When viewed under a strong halogen light a number a few spindle lines can be seen.
 
Lyric Inner Sheet: EX+
 
The lyric inner is very clean, uncreased and lies perfectly flat. There is a name written on the reverse in felt tip, but this cannot be seen from the front.
 
Inner Sleeve: (generic) VG+
 
The plain generic inner sleeve is in VG+ condition. Generally clean with a few light creases.
 
 
Overall this is a really nice copy of a 1st press Pink Scroll original. The audio is dynamic and engaging and a real pleasure to listen to.
 
Postage and Packing:
 
All records are placed in a separate poly lined inner and stored flat outside the sleeve and then placed sealed in a re-sealable polythene outer prior to shipping.  Records are then placed between square cardboard sheets before packaging into cruciform mailers especially designed for LP’s. These mailers are a high-grade type which reinforce the edges around the LP and as such they are larger and weigh more than standard mailers.  My postage costs reflect the additional size and weight of the packaging that I use.
