Genesis : We Can't Dance 2 x LP 1st Press

Due to the current situation I am unable to describe the audio in detail but rest assured I will still listen to every track in full so as to provide a comprehensive grading.

This first pressing plays to perfection!  The clarity and depth of the audio is outstanding, it could not be any better and is a FINAL UPGRADE album for certain.  As a matter of interest there is still some vinyl 'flecking' around the spindle hole on both records - this is something you only find on unplayed/barely played vinyls.

The cover is in superb condition and is still enclosed in its original shrink-wrap apart from the opening edge of course.  The lyric inners are also pristine and look untouched.

 Visual grading

  The vinyls are in superb condition and at first glance look 'as new'.  It is only on closer inspection that you can detect a very small number of faint hairlines and there are certainly no scratches or marks.  They have a lovely glossy sheen and they both even have some vinyl flecking around the spindle hole as stated.  There is just one faint spindle trace on each label which provides further evidence of hardly ever being played.  The run out grooves and labels are also in beautiful condition.

Play grading

As soon as you hear the super quiet lead in grooves you know this is going to play well!  'No Son Of Mine' does indeed play with stunning Mint audio, the clarity and depth of the audio is exceptional.  There is not so much as a dust tick and it is obvious this vinyl has hardly ever been played.  Both 'Jesus He Knows Me' and 'Driving The Last Spike' are of the same immaculate quality and I cannot stress enough how perfectly they play.  There is quite simply no 'background' and the clarity could not be any more impressive.  Each track grades as Mint the playback is 'as new' without doubt.

I am pleased to say S2 is of the same 'high end' standard.  From 'I Can't Dance' to the classic 'Dreaming While You Sleep' the audio is absolutely stunning to say the least.  Once again there is no interference and to repeat I have played every second!  I can confidently grade each track as Mint the audio is phenomenal!

With S3 there is no let up in quality and 'Tell Me Why' starts proceedings with 'high end' audio from start to finish.  Even the fade out has no 'background'!  'Living Forever' and 'Hold On My Heart' play with a clarity that you only find on a barely played vinyl.  This is quite simply audio of the highest standard and so far there has been no interference whatsoever.  Mint is again an honest assessment of the quality on offer here.

'Way Of The World, the first track on S4, is 'as new' there is no other way to describe it.  The depth and warmth of the audio is second to none.  'Since I Lost You' is equally as good and 'Fading Lights' is exceptional!  The opening quiet section plays beautifully and the instrumental piece is 'as new' also.  The final verse plays faultlessly and to the final note there is no a single dust tick let alone anything worse.  The audio on this side is Mint with not one iota of interference.  Wow!

In summary this FINAL UPGRADE album is the most stunning example I have ever had the pleasure in listening to.  The sonic quality and definition of the audio is up there with the best of them and you have to remember this double album is nearly 30 years old!  That is easy to forget as it is one of their more recent albums!  There is no interference on any of the four sides and it is patently obvious it has hardly ever been played.

The Cover

The cover is in superb order with no wear.  The shrink-wrap is still firmly wrapped around the cover with no splits and only the opening edge is errr...open!  The edges, corners and spine have no knocks or 'dings' and it remains beautifully clean throughout.  You could not find a better example of this cover which is fast approaching 30 years of age.

The Labels

They are super clean with no marking or writing and barely any spindle wear as stated.

The Lyric Sleeves

These are also in pristine condition with no wear of any kind.  'As new'!
