GENO WASHINGTON

'KNOW MY NAME'

VERY RARE, ALMOST CERTAINLY UNIQUE UK 7" EMIDISC ACETATE
This amazing item came to us with a soul collection last year.  This is an unknown/unreleased track by Geno Washington called 'Know My Name'. According to the previous owner, who has met Washington, this record was run past him, and he couldn't remember when he recorded it. The lyrics are spoken over a gentle beat, and starts 'Hello Operator, can I speak to Mary-Ann?' If anyone has any info about this, please get in touch and I'll add it to the listing!
The acetate is in good condition, with just some small handling & storage. Playback is good all the way through, with no clicks or jumps, with a typical acetate background 'hiss' (low level), that doesn't detract from a pretty clear playback. Please be aware that this is of course a lacquer test disc, and doesn't have a hi-fi quality!
