Description

GEORDIE Don`t Be Fooled By The Name (EMI EMA 764) AC/DC RARE UK 1st Press MINT-

RARE UK first pressing of Geordie`s "Don`t Be Fooled By The Name" on EMI Records (March 1974).

Second-league glam-rockers Geordie are remembered mainly due to their AC/DC connection. However, aside from Brian Johnson`s legendary banshee howl, Geordie`s second album, "Don`t Be Fooled By The Name" holds up extremely well in its own right. The band`s version of "House Of The Rising Sun", made famous by Newcastle compatriots The Animals is authoritative, their hard-rocking take on glam has aural depth and more than enough grit. Well-produced and featuring tongue-in-cheek gangster-themed photography (courtesy of the ubiquitous Mick Rock), "Don`t Be Fooled By The Name" definitely amounts to more than the sum of its parts.
