Description

BURNS & CARLIN -- At The Playboy Club Tonight -- hard to find, original 1963 U.S. album.  Legendary comedian George Carlin's first record released, this was actually recorded in 1960 at Cosmo Alley with his short-lived partner, Jack Burns, but wasn't put out until 1963 (by then, Carlin and Burns had split up).  Even at the beginning, Carlin's classic, off-kilter delivery and comic perspective is in full force on beatnik-era routines like "Herb Coolidge," "Killer Carlin" and others.  This sold poorly on its release and original copies are extremely hard to come by these days; it's also one of the rarer Spoken Word Comedy LP's from this era.  See photo for track list.  Cover:  Fair, split along entire top seam, split halfway along bottom seam at right; ring wear and wear/light creasing at corners.  Record:  VG-/VG, several light surface marks and light scuffs, overall fairly clean and plays well, on Era label, U.S. press.
