TODAY (2/18) I HAVE PURCHASED ONE OF THE BEST VINYL COLLECTIONS I'VE EVER ACQUIRED - IT BELONGED TO A MAN WHO WORKED IN PROMOTION FOR ATLANTIC RECORDS IN LOS ANGELES FOR 20 YEARS FROM THE LATE 1960S THROUGH THE 1980s - THE COLLECTION CONTAINS ALL SORTS OF PROMOS, PROMO ONLY ITEMS, SEALED LPs, PICTURE DISCS, TEST PRESSINGS, AND AUDIOPHILE PRESSINGS - I'LL BE LISTING TWO ITEMS A DAY FROM THIS COLLECTION FOR A LONG TIME - KEEP WATCHING MY AUCTIONS FOR SOME OF THE BEST ROCK ITEMS I'VE EVER OFFERED!
This is a 1973 U.S. APPLE RECORDS EARLY PROMO COPY OF THE 1973 LP titled 'Living In the Material World' from Beatle George Harrison. It is Apple Records U.S. catalog number SMAS-3410, with the punch hole through the shrinkwrap and the cover at the upper right corner of the cover indicating a promo copy. The original color fold-out lyrics sheet insert is present and included.
This LP comes with a very interesting extra - A note tucked under the shrinkwrap from someone in the Capitol Records promotions department touting the song 'Don't Let Me Wait Too Long' as the 'new single' from this LP - That note was apparently written prematurely, as 'Don't Let Me Wait Too Long' was never released by Apple Records in the U.S. as a single!

Condition of cover is EX with the only flaws being a small split in the shrinkwrap at the lower left corner, with some small wrinkles on the corner and possibly a little mildew on the cover under the shrinkwrap at that corner (it's hard to tell against the dark color of the album cover), and a little wear along the open edge and on the corners on the open edge. Cover has no water damage, split, tears, writing, or stickers. This EARLY PROMO LP with an interesting extra would be a nice addition to any Beatles-related or 1970s rock record collection!
