Description
This is the excellent and very rare 1986 George Harrison and Vicki Brown unreleased 7 " 1 track single entitled, " Shanghai Surprise ". It is recorded on the GANGA Publishing BV record label. This single is not numbered. This is a UK pressed 7 ".
This 7" is very carefully graded and described as follows:
7" SINGLE This 1 track single is graded as in Excellent condition with light surface marks on the playing surface. It does have some surface scuff marks. ( Seen under very strong halogen light ). LABEL is in excellent condition with no marks or stains seen. There is a paper label with S/4587 on it, and a handwritten time of 3'12 on the label. MATRIX is stamped as SHANGHAI 1 A - 10 - 1 - This is a very rare and hard to find George Harrison record. The Rare Record Price Guide has this single priced at £800 in mint condition. I have previously tried to sell this record as a buy it now feature, with a lot of interest but no buyers, so I will now leave it to the market to decide its current value. I also have to add, that once cleaned and played I was very surprised and dissapointed in the sound quality. The surface seems unmarked and rarely played, and yet the sound quality is poor, and on a kenwood system with a new stylus the record jumped on at least 4 occasions. I understand that apart from its great rarity value one would at least wish to hear a decent record. Do not bid if you expect a perfect record sound. ( Perhaps the sound quality was the reason it was not released ? ) tlop668.All my records have been carefully graded and played, so you can be assured of a common standard to your purchases.
