GEORGE LEWIS AND HIS RAG TIME BAND - Antone Records 1 & 2 (On record 2A Delmar Records is stamped on the label (blue vinyl) - Bob Koester, owner of Delmark Records bought a recording of George Lewis on Antone Records on the recommendation of  Japanese jazz fans, many years ago. Songs include: Dallas Blues/Lord, Lord, You Certainly Been Good To Me/ Mama Don't Allow It/Just A Closer Walk With Thee/Way Down Upon The Swanee River/Tin Roof Blues/Jerusalem Blues/Doctor Jazz/I Ain't Gonna Give Nobody None O' This Jelly Roll/Dippermouth - vinyl is vg(scruff marks and some crackles and pops but takes nothing away from music, also record 1 slightly warped but plays just fine on my turntable). Recorded in San Francisco on June 18, 1953. Musicians are: George Lewis Clt; Howard, Tpt, Robinson; Tbn, Purnell, Pno; Marrero, Bjo; Pavageau, Sbs; Watkins, Dms.There have never been any original covers for these Antone Rec.
