Description

GEORGE MICHAEL "FAITH" Original 1987 U.S. vinyl edition of classic Pop LP featuring  the #1 hits "Faith", "Father Figure" & "I Want Your Sex". Complete w/custom inner sleeve & 11" x 11" b&w photo/lyric insert. Columbia C-40867 VG+/VG+.

After 5 years with Wham, George Michael was tired of the constant references to them being just another good-looking "boy band". So he decided to go solo & this record is the first result of that fateful decision. It spawned 4 #1 singles & became the best selling album for 1987-1988 on both sides of the Atlantic. It contains the smash hits "Faith" (US #1) and "Father Figure" (also #1) as well as "I Want Your Sex" & "Monkey" although all 9 tracks are quite strong. The album went on to sell over 20 million copies but is hard to score in its original release due to the fact that many albums of the era were simply not issued on vinyl.

Cover retains its original gloss w/no tears or writing. The only flaws are slight edge wear & a small 1/4" tear on the back left edge but it still looks nearly new- rated VG+. The record sounds great w/1 light scuff & 1 hairline on side 1 that does not overly affect play. It is in VG+ condition. Complete w/custom inner sleeve & photo/lyric insert.
