Description
This is George Thorogood's first album, originally released by Rounder Records in 1977 in the US, this is the first Australian release from the same year, on Stockade Records a small Australian independent label. The record was later issued by RCA in Australia , but this is the original Australian release (refer Discogs). The vinyl on the Stockade release is heavier (140 gm) than the RCA release(119 gm) and it came with an insert listing other Stockade records. The vinyl on this record is in VG+ condition with only a few minor scuffs, both sides play loud and clear with only very low level surface noise on the lead in track and between the tracks, not audible while the music is playing. The cover is clean with some ring wear evident on front and back from storage, but there are no tears or creases, and the inset is near perfect. George Thorogood displays a raw energy coupled with a great technique on this album, being his first he really gives it his best, and as a consequence it still sounds fresh some 37 years later.
