Description
This is the original UK LP by GEORGIE FAME, RHYTHM and BLUES at the FLAMINGO, 1964 MONO 1st Press on the black and blue COLUMBIA label 33SX 1599, with "COLUMBIA GRAMOPHONE CO.LTD" rim credits, "RECORDED FIRST PUBLISHED 1964" and "Sold in the UK" label credits. Matrix numbers are, SIDE 1:- XAX 2575-1N, SIDE 2:- XAX 2576-1N, stamper codes are, SIDE 1:- 1 / GA, SIDE 2:- 1 / GA. Both the matrix numbers and stamper codes indentify this as a genuine original and the earliest possible UK 1st Pressing. The LP comes complete with a UK 1st issue "Use Emitex" die-cut inner sleeve.
The original 1964 UK 1st issue Garrod and Lofthouse flipback cover with "Patens pending" credits is in EX+++ condition, beautifully clean on the front, maintaining all it's original bright vibrant colour, the condition of the lamination is STUNNING!, the back shows signs of ageing, but clean, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits, the spine is fully intact, broad as the day of release and perfectly readable.
The vinyl is in a strong EX+, gleaming with all its shine and lustre, I have played the vinyl (very carefully!) and the vinyl plays MINT-!, playing with super crisp clear clarity!, the quality of this RARE original 1964 Mono 1st Pressing is simply STUNNING, quality pressing and a WONDERFUL LISTENING EXPERIENCE!.
The label's are in EX+++ / MINT- condition, lovely and clean, maintaining all their original colour their is no unwanted writing and no scuffs, the spindle hole shows little or no wear, KT tax code is embossed in the centre of side 1's label!, BEAUTIFUL label's!.
The vinyl is housed in a UK "Use Emitex" die cut inner sleeve and in EX condition, lovely and clean, their is no unwanted writing and no seam splits.
