GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Notes : all the compositions by Gerardo Iacoucci. An album devoted to the theme of adventure examined not under its external sides but centring on the men's psichology who live the events with their anguish, fear and stress. In this introspective way the composer uses often avantgarde sound effects and rather heavy percussions though not forgetting excellent jazz improvisations and latin rhythms. Besides Iacoucci applies interesting music experimentations such as tunes performed by solo bass - " L' OMBRA " and " EVASIONE " or by solo trumpet - " TENTATIVO " a/b. Among the tracks : "AGGUATO ", based on a crazy pace underlined by the drumming with the addition of fine jazz veins by piano, " LA PIANTAGIONE ", a calypso with fastest time and drums in prominence, " SMARRIMENTO ", distorted notes by flute and avantgarde sounds, " CITTA' DEL CAPO ", strongly groovy, organ sound and jazzy sax, " CALMA APPARENTE ", a slow with jazzy flavours by trumpet...
