The item available here is a rare GERMAN LANGUAGE VERSION 7" VINYL SINGLE of the 1967 Eurovision song from VICKY (LEANDROS) and the entry from Luxembourg "BLAU WIE DAS MEER" ("L'AMOUR EST BLEU - LOVE IS BLUE" - sung in GERMAN). The B-side features another track by Vicky ,"NIE MEHR SCHEINT MIR DIE SONNE SO HELL" (the German version of "LE SOLEIL A QUITTE MA MAISON" which is another of the songs from the 1967 Eurovision preselection. This rare 7" was issued by the German PHILIPS record label (346 048 PF). The vinyl is visually clean and shiny VG+ condition with a few light surface marks here and there but no heavy scratches or anything nasty and the item plays fine as good as any EX condition copy. The picture sleeve is a high quality professional looking original colour scheme glossy hard card reprint virtually identical looking to the original picture sleeve although stronger card than the original thin paper sleeve and without the usual ring wear and creasing of most original copies! This is not a typical basic photocopy sleeve, it is a unique professional looking PHOTO QUALITY picture sleeve issued especially for this rare 7" I have on auction. Each side of the record labels and picture sleeve can be seen both above and below in the camera photos ! This is a good opportunity to add a collectable GERMAN LANGUAGE version 7" Eurovision single with a top quality picture sleeve to your record collection! Back in the eighties and nineties I was quite well known among many Eurovision collectors around the world as I always stocked a large selection of Eurovision records and CD's and during the nineties even arranged and financed the official release to press some of the more rare entries for wider availability to collectors. I provided a Discography and photos of all Eurovision releases in the UK for RECORD COLLECTOR magazine and provided recordings and worked to get clearance for tracks on an official UK Eurovision CD release issued by VIRGIN. Due to moving house my Eurovision vinyl has been in safe storage for almost a decade. I have recently acquired back the very last copies of my Eurovision vinyl stocks. In many cases I am down to my very last copy of each entry, especially those in mint condition and I now plan to sell everything over the upcoming months, so keep checking back each week for new additions to my listings.
