WELCOME TO . . . PLANET EURODISCO
*** Both the front and back images of this rare 7" vinyl single showing A & B side labels along with the glossy picture print sleeve can be seen above and further down below. I will also send an original picture sleeve of this single to the winning bidder as a bonus item.
I had this 7" on auction a little while ago and it sold for £51. I located another copy in the meanwhile and it's a much better copy and also has an original picture sleeve. I will send both the original and also a high quality glossy print sleeve along with the one 7" vinyl to the winning bidder.
The item available here is a rare GERMAN LANGUAGE VERSION 7" VINYL SINGLE of the 1967 Eurovision song from VICKY (LEANDROS) and the entry from Luxembourg "BLAU WIE DAS MEER" ("L'AMOUR EST BLEU - LOVE IS BLUE" - sung in GERMAN). The B-side features another track by Vicky ,"NIE MEHR SCHEINT MIR DIE SONNE SO HELL" (the German version of "LE SOLEIL A QUITTE MA MAISON" which is another of the songs from the 1967 Eurovision preselection. This rare 7" was issued by the German PHILIPS record label (346 048 PF). The vinyl is visually clean and shiny EXCELLENT condition with only minimal signs of previous use. This 7" comes with an original picture sleeve which generally would be graded as VG+ condition with only light creasing but there is a big sticker on the front sleeve and a tear on the back at the top. However I also prepared a high quality professional looking original colour scheme glossy hard card reprint virtually identical looking to the original picture sleeve although stronger card than the original thin paper sleeve! This is not a typical basic photocopy sleeve, it is a unique professional looking PHOTO QUALITY picture sleeve. Each side of the record labels, the original picture sleeve and also the reprint picture sleeve can all be seen above and below in the camera photos ! This is a good opportunity to add a collectable GERMAN LANGUAGE version 7" Eurovision single with two picture sleeves to your record collection! One is an original copy and the second one is a top quality reprint picture sleeve so you can choose which you prefer to keep on the record!
Back in the eighties and nineties I was quite well known among many Eurovision collectors around the world as I always stocked a large selection of Eurovision records and CD's and during the nineties even arranged and financed the official release to press some of the more rare entries for wider availability to collectors. I provided a Discography and photos of all Eurovision releases in the UK for RECORD COLLECTOR magazine and provided recordings and worked to get clearance for tracks on an official UK Eurovision CD release issued by VIRGIN. Due to moving house my Eurovision vinyl has been in safe storage for almost a decade. I have recently acquired back the very last copies of my Eurovision vinyl stocks. In many cases I am down to my very last copy of each entry, especially those in mint condition and I now plan to sell everything over the upcoming months, so keep checking back each week for new additions to my listings.
Watch the live performance of VICKY with the entry from Luxembourg 'L'AMOUR EST BLEU' at the 1967 Eurovision Song Contest below. Please remember before bidding that the 7" single on auction here features the GERMAN version and NOT the original French version !
I also have other Eurovision items on auction at the moment so take some time to check them out and
